Joe is a Chicago born, lifelong athlete who competed in several high school and college sports. He enjoyed a successful career in the U.S. Army and Federal Government, finishing his career with the Federal Highway Administration in Wyoming. He has B.S. degrees from the University of Louisville, the Ohio State University and an MBA from Syracuse University. He is the race director and a sponsor of the Nevada Senior Games Cycling Races held annually near Las Vegas.
Joe rode and raced in Europe and United States competitively while balancing career and family. Career highlights: Logan to Jackson (LATOJA) and both Mount Evans and Pikes Peak Hill Climbs, Carson City Off Road, numerous charity rides, imperial and metric centuries and local Northern CA and NV gravel events! At age 50 Joe discovered the Senior Games and has won medals in state games in Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada and has qualified and competed at the National Games.

Shane is Land Surveyor and Field Chief for Nevada office of the Bureau of Land Management. He is an elite ultra-cyclist, and owner of a spin studio: Life Cycle Nevada, in Carson City (https://lifecycle-nv.com/). He loves helping and inspiring others, and trains with friends 4 days a week. He is married and has two daughters and tries to be a role model by staying healthy for his family.
Shane has achieved an amazing transformation, in 2009 he started gaining weight, got morbidly obese and weighed about 300 pounds. He started eating healthier and running, and slowly worked his way up to running a marathon in 2010, and that summer proceeded to run a marathon a month for the 5 months of summer. He continued running and ran a few ultras (50k trail marathons). He started cross training on bike in 2011. In 2012 he injured his back quit running and regained weight back up to 265 pounds. Doctor said no more running so he converted to full time cyclist. He then dropped 30 pounds from 2013 to 2017 riding and started calling himself “The Fat Cyclist”. In 2017 he hired Joe as his coach and hit the diet and biking hard - lost more weight and is now down to 188 pounds, and during same period increased his FTP to 365 watts.
Silver State 508: 2017 2-man team finisher, 2018 DNF, 2019 1st place overall, first place solo male 2020 1st place 4 man team.
24-hour World Time Trial Championships: 2018 10th overall and 2nd in age group, 2019 1st place Age group, 7th overall.
