STEP 2 – Set up an initial Coaching Consultation
We’ll connect with you within 48 hours to set up a time to get to know you and discuss your goals, available training time, athletic background and current health. We can assist you in choosing a training package .
STEP 3 – Select your Training Package
I will set up your personal premium TrainingPeaks account and create a custom training plan based on your specific goals, lifestyle, and schedule.
STEP 4 – Start the journey to a better you
You complete the workouts and I will adjust your training program based on your needs, ensuring you are improving from workout to workout, keep you motivated, and help you with nutrition, weight management strategies and other topics you are interested in.
I’m a retired executive and veteran who spent decades balancing family, work and fitness. I didn’t always get it right but when in my 50's I decided to get back in shape: I lost 70 pounds and I started racing my bike again and had some success that included completing both the Mount Evans and Pikes Peak Hill Climbs in less than 2 hours. I successfully competed in cycling in the Senior Games earning medals in the CO, NV, WY State Games and competed at the National Senior Games. Additionally, I got back into downhill skiing, and hiking at the same time and started to pay attention to nutrition and overall fitness.
Most large coaching firms assign 20-30 clients per coach. I am certified as a cycling ,running and nutrition coach, I run a small firm and limit the number of athletes per coach to ensure you get the personal support focused on helping you achieve your goals and balance your life outside of your sport. We use the same state of the art tools and analysis used by the larger firms.
One the lessons I took a long time to learn is that we alone are responsible for our health, fitness level, etc. One of the best gifts you can give your family is to be in shape so that you can take care of yourself and them and participate fully in their lives. While your weekly training time can vary greatly depending on your particular goal, I’ve been there myself and continue to help athletes balance the demands of family and work.

No. We can build an effective training program for you without these tools, however, if you want the most out of your training effort, we can work with you to identify the tools that can best help you achieve your goals. Tools such as heart rate monitors and power meters and ithlete provide data on what is going on during your workouts and recovery. The more data, the better we can help you make gains, analyze your workouts, and provide the most specific training to help you progress towards and meet your goals.
After you have said you interested in coaching, I’ll contact you to discuss your goals, planned events, current training and health. I’ll then set you up with a Trainingpeaks premium account and will set up your workouts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. After you complete your workouts, you will upload your data into Training Peaks. I’ll analyze that data each week or daily, depending on your training package. This analysis will either be emailed or discussed by phone. This data and analysis will let me plan your future training as well as monitor your progress. All training packages include a weekly or bi-weekly phone conversation of up to 1 hour. During these calls, we will discuss, your current training while getting and giving feedback, as well as discussing future training, goals, events, changes in plans and other relevant information such as: pacing strategies, equipment choice, and nutrition.
Unfortunately these sort of situations occur. If this happens give us a call and we can determine how to best move forward: for short term we can put you into an Injury Status for up to 90 days. While in this status, we'll stay in touch with you but you will not receive workouts or training plans and you will not be billed until you are ready to resume training. If your situation lasts longer than 90 days we’ll work with you to find a solution.
